Nvidia releases WHQL 177.41 drivers
New WHQL drivers from Nvidia have been released today, with version 177.41 put up for download from Nvidia's site. The updated drivers are available for Windows XP and XP 64bit, Windows Vista and Vista 64bit, and Server 2003. There is no updated driver package for Linux users, obviously, as WQHL certification is irrelevant on that platform. The last Linux driver update was two weeks ago with version 177.13.
The new drivers add support for the latest Nvidia GPUs including the GTX 280 and GTX 260 units as well as the 780a SLI and 750a SLI. They made some changes to the Nvidia control panel for HDMI input, bug fixes for Vista 64bit and multi-GPU cards and more.

175.19 drivers... so I'm not sure I should download that |
| Julio on June 27, 2008 2:24 AM | It's quite expected for new drivers to mostly accommodate support for newer generation products (GTXs in this case) with minor bug fixes and usually no performance improvements for older/current GPUs.

| lncpapa on June 27, 2008 8:53 AM | I found the same thing - 175.19 being the new version on the nVidia site. Keep in mind that last week the version was 175.16. This version of the driver doesn't fix my HDMI problem with my GX2 or my DVI->HDMI problem on my 8800GT. |
| siiix on June 27, 2008 8:11 PM | this driver still stinks, i really wish they would go back to the classic control panel AND all that functionality thats has been lost
i still cant watch videos on my secondary display AUTOMATICALLY, its really annoying, i cant even roll back because i have a 9600gt and the oldest driver already featuring this anti-functionality |
