The CINEBENCH OpenGL test produced very similar results when ran on the Athlon64 X2, Phenom X3 and Phenom X4 processors. The result was unfortunately much lower than that of the Core 2 processors. The Phenom X4 stacked up well against the Core 2 Quad Q6600 in the multi-CPU rendering test, while the X3 processors dropped a lot of performance due to the reduction in cores.

The single-core WinRAR test showed the Phenom X3 and X4 processors delivering very similar performance, while the Core 2 Quad Q6600 was only slightly faster. Given that the Core 2 Duo E8400 runs each core a 3.0GHz, it does have a significant advantage in the single core test. However when running the multi-core test the Phenom X3 processors are able to outperform the E8400, as even the lowly clocked 2.10GHz 8450 was found to be faster.
