Although the GeForce 9800 GTX struggled to show any performance improvements in Unreal Tournament 3, things did look up when testing in Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts.
Using DirectX 9, the 9800 GTX was 24% faster than the old 8800 GTX at 1920x1200. It was also 15% faster than the 8800 GTS 512 graphics card at this same resolution.
Due to the fact that SLI does scale very well in Company of Heroes, the GeForce 9800 GX2 was found to be 59% faster than the 9800 GTX.

Enabling DX10 rendering hurt the performance of all graphics cards tested, but it did not affect the performance margins that the GeForce 9800 GTX held over the GeForce 8 series cards. This time the 9800 GTX was much faster than the 8800 GTX, producing 43% better performance.
